The overload keeps tripping
Case sealer, 2 HP flight-bar drive · 10 min
The case sealer’s drive motor trips its overload relay a few times an hour. The fault presents at the panel, a tripped OL and a red light, so electrical gets the call every time, and every reset works for a while. But an overload trip only says the motor drew too much current for too long; it doesn’t say why. The cause could be electrical, mechanical, or the process itself. Triage the domain first, then pin the fault.
