Terms of Service
Effective July 13, 2026
1. The service
Fault Finder Lab is a browser-based training platform for industrial fault diagnosis. It provides interactive machine simulations, lessons, a competency record built from your training activity, and Fault Finder Academy completion certificates. These terms are an agreement between you and Fault Finder Lab ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. If your account was provisioned by your employer or team, you accept them the first time you sign in.
2. Accounts
Provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential — you are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts are for a single named person; do not share a login. Team administrators may create accounts on behalf of team members, by email invitation or by issuing a username and password, and must have the authority to do so (for example, as the member's employer or training provider).
3. Teams and seats
Team subscriptions are seat-based. Each active member and each pending invitation occupies a seat; removing a member or revoking an invitation frees it. Team administrators and supervisors manage membership, roles, and assignments, and can view and export the training records of the members they supervise, as described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Fees
Fault Finder Lab is a paid service. Pricing and billing terms are presented at purchase. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. We may change pricing with notice before your next renewal, and may offer free trials or free access at our discretion.
5. Acceptable use
Do not:
- share seats or sign-in credentials;
- access, or attempt to access, other users' accounts or data;
- copy, scrape, or redistribute scenarios, simulations, or course content;
- reverse engineer the service or its simulations;
- resell the service or offer it to third parties;
- probe, overload, or disrupt the service or its infrastructure;
- use the service in violation of applicable law.
6. Our content
The service — simulations, scenarios, lesson content, software, and branding — is owned by Fault Finder Lab. Your subscription grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for your own training or, on a team account, your organization's internal training. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
7. Your data
You — or, on a team account, your organization — retain your training records. We handle them as described in the Privacy Policy, and you can export your record from the service at any time.
8. Training disclaimer
Fault Finder Lab simulations are educational models. They are simplified, may differ from any real machine, and are not operating instructions, service documentation, or safety procedures. When working on real equipment, always follow the manufacturer's documentation, your employer's procedures, lockout/tagout and all other applicable safety rules, and applicable regulations. A Fault Finder Academy certificate records completion of training in this product; it is not an accredited credential, a license, or a guarantee of competence.
9. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time, and team administrators may remove members at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are unpaid, with notice where practicable. On termination your access ends — export your record first if you want a copy. Retention and deletion of data after termination follow the Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fault Finder Lab will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or business. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Without limiting section 8, we are not liable for equipment damage or personal injury arising from work performed on real machinery.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will give notice — by email or in the app — before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Fault Finder Lab is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be resolved in the courts located there.
